Unexpected Hands is a campaign carried out by El Taier DDB Centro (Guatemala) for El Refugio de La Niñez with the support of UNICEF, whose objective is to show the sad reality that millions of childs face every day when they are sexually abused in their homes by family or close friends. In Latin America, it is estimated that 1 in 5 children are abused at home and it is until adolescence that they themselves have the opportunity to report their aggressor. El Refugio de la Niñez is an NGO that has the mission and commitment to protect all Guatemalan children and teenagers, ensuring the respect and fulfillment of their rights. It also has a special program which provides support and accompaniment to victims who have suffered sexual violence.
This campaign is a call to care for and listen to our children, and denounce the cases of sexual violence that are generated against them.
