haha!
I guess this is a cultural thing...
Genius!
You did this didn't you.
Its not a stroke of genius, raised a slight smile but not genius.
We're going to need more lube.
Nice.
This one is the best of the three.
Indeed "Genius" is a reach...did you do these??
Still, they're pretty cool.
This one is the only one that makes sense, since the other hats are as 'real' as the cowboy hat. Seeing these executions as a set gives me the feeling that a viking hat or fez is as stupid as this silly propellor hat... which I hope was not the intention. Some lacking insight if you ask me...

Looking at these a little closer, you might need to be from the US or UK to really get the joke.
I think "the_capwriter" might be misinterpreting the word "real" to mean literally "real" men and literally "real" hats. The hats are clearly real. The men are clearly real. Most likely the point is that "real" (manly) men, need "real" (manly) hats.
So they don't end up looking like complete fuck-sticks (assholes).
I love these. Maybe they're not the best ads in the world, but i'm a sucker for vintage cowboy graphics.
Mr. Pink, I did get the expression as being 'manly'... but I guess a fez is seen as quite 'manly' in Morocco as well... And although that kind of viking hat is not longer worn today (well, you never know)... it's quite a 'manly' symbol too. I just don't think you can see those 2 as being as silly as the one displayed here (which in my opinion is the only really silly hat... unless it makes part of the traditional clothing of some island I've never heard about...)
