not surprised that i don't see a woman's name in the credits on this one. this feels really out of touch and sleazy. it's like the bathroom condom of mammograms. it could save your life, but you save it as a last resort. also, gowns in the waiting room are a little too much, unless they have you change and herd you back out front.
You're not a CD at Grey by chance, are you?
maybe. no, no i'm not. but i was in a politically over-correct mood when i wrote that. i still think it's sleazy though.
=)
what's sleazy about margaritas and mariachis? You can't be serious. If you read the small copy, apparently the employees of IP Casino get a free mammogram and a free margarita. Sounds like a company that cares about women, and wants everyone to have fun while doing it. If only more companies took this approach.
I like it!!!
Yes. Lighten up. Good stuff!!
I think one of those guys is checking out one of those ladies.
What if we substitute japanese saké for margarita?
Sumo wrestlers are more interested about breast cancer prevention than mariachis.
Are they in Japan? I completely missed that.
Stephean and Chris could be female names haha
No matter how funny, weird, offbeat, offensive, odd, etc. this is, I have NO IDEA what the message is supposed to be. The croupiers are offering free breast exams??
The tiny type says free bus ride, free mammogram, free margarita--which would seem to me to be the benefit here. Why it's buried in 6-point type is beyond me. Clarity, people! You want people to act, better tell them what to do!
Looks like you found the message. Good for you!
Did you consult your copy of Ogilvy on Advertising before you commented?
I was responding to "teenie" by the way.
Looks like you found it. Good for you!
The casino seems to be offering free breast exams and free margaritas. I think this is pretty funny. I get it...
6-point type? lol. It's a poster shrunk down. The type is bigger.
Even by poster standards the type is way too small. I just cudn't get the idea till i read the comment, hunted for the line on the ad/poster n made the connect. At art school people are taught 'hierarchy of information' looks like these guys missed the class
Time to go back to school. The main idea seems to be here that somehow margaritas and mammograms have something to do with each other. From that comes the main visual. Pull them in - close the circle with the copy. Text book advertising.
I agree! Otherwise we start art directing posters with everything in 48 point type and no hierarchy or visual interest. Talk about horsey. Besides, there's this thing called being subtle. I hear it's really nice.
I happen to work as a cocktail waitress at the IP Casino, Resort, and Spa and I have to say that it is not a sleazy ad. All of the ladies of the IP are being treated to free mammograms and free margaritas. And I must say that I very much enjoy my job and appreciate the respect with which we are treated.
hahahahah. this is stupid. all of it.
where are the broken boy soldiers? More sepia too. Those mammo-getters love that.
what do they think? to get drunk if the mammography results is bad? I think it's really crap.
