colorful persons in gray scale photos. So what?
A hot stewardess and vodka, what else? So 80's...
Thats why it works...

I think the creative director forgot the rest of the idea somewhere...
Cognito Ergo Sum
If they had served it to those 19 idiots, would've saved some thousand souls.

OK guys...this is what it is. It's hot chicks with innuendo with sweet photography. It's like the sexy Cutty Sark ads from a few years ago that looked great only these have a brand headline that will make college kids giggle. These ads are fine...not awesome not absolutely horrible. Will probably end up on some kids wall somewhere. Better than where most ads end up...in the landfill.
Let's keep advertising fun
I think what your missing is the brand name 'Effen' sounds like 'effin', as in effin (f**king) hell. So the tagline is a play on the sentence "There is nothing more satisfying than f**king on a plane".
Poster Frames Stock Displays Blog. Twitter. Facebook.
I think a lot of non native speakers are missing it. Hence, the guy in the other ad has one eyebrow raised! :-) It's all tongue in cheek!
I did not like.
And entire campaign built around a pun. No thanks.
too easy
It's not the effen campaign's fault.
Who named that effen brand to begin with?

I didn't get the joke untill I red the comments. But I'm no native speaker.
How was this recieved/interpreted by consumers?
make me want to star drinking... not vodka, obviously
I really like the lighting and post production on all of these images in the series.
even non-english speakers can read the body language, comeon you dumb mother Effers:
THEY'RE SELLING SEX
What? You're out of Effen Vodka!!!! Hahaha. Funny ... but without 'class'.
my favorite ad. very inviting.
