The cost of building a union was slavery?!?!

Is that hat meant to be on his head?!?!?!

Why do americans think we care about their two minutes of history?!?!?

Why haven't they appologised for killing the Red Man?!?!?!? Like on their knees, begging for forgiveness.

Those and many more questions, dodged now and forever but every administration.

Change?..........we'll see.

Got to say "jealous much" was not what I expected when I wrote this.

......I've got nothing back.

Not jealous though. Just really bored right now. Maybe I should get back to writing bullshit DM or maybe focus on small print for a day or two.

Ok first of of all we don't expect for idiots like you to "care" about this ad or our history since it is intended and printed for the US public not "UK" where supposedly you reside. Please stop commenting just to create bullshit posts from pissed off peeps and focus on the ad.

In any case the ad is horrendous, very poor art direction.

They refer to the civil War. English people in the south had slaves, the country was free from England, and united as one. It was kept legal to have slaves. Later, Abraham Lincoln declared slaves as free citizens with equal rights, which meant a big loss of the investment southerns made in work force, they paid for them and all was legally recognized, Then they feel they lost their money, slaves were'nt persons for them, they was only a property to their eyes, like cattle, and went to war to be independent and to keep their rights to have their slaves.

Although they lost the war, southern states remained racist and kept killing black people with secret groups as KKK, an made their biggest effort to limit rights of black people.

//...the Red Man//

The Red Man? Really? The RED MAN? Racist much, Disco Monky?

What? Black man, Brown man, Yellow man, White man.

Have you never heard these terms? They're base descriptors, yes, but not racist. If I'd put "f**king" in front of it, then it becomes racist.

What should it have been? seriously?

Native American.

"Red Man" is considered very offensive. Because, we're not actually red you know.

Really?

I bet you've called someone Black, or White before, and you must realise that no body is actually those colours. I wasn't calling anyone a "red indian" because that's a stupid term. But if we're generalizing, like we all do because we're all in advertising, then I'm going to stick what I said the first time.

If you're not red and we all know that we're not white. Then I guess that makes you just another N on the block eh? You prefer that?

I have a lot of respect for your culture, seriously, a strong proud nation with an amazing history (if you're telling the truth), but if all you have to say is "..we're not red you know" then the white man got a deal when he bought Manhattan, because you clearly don't want it.

I'm Chumash. We had nothing to do with Manhattan; that's 3,000 miles away from the central coast of California and the Tepusquet Valley.

Regrettably, the copy and the art direction seem unrefined.
