British Auto Service: Wankers
There are few mechanics who will even touch a British car. Usually owners resort to a dealership servicing their vehicle, which can be costly. British Auto Service is the perfect alternative. They're more affordable than a dealership, sometimes even half the cost. British Auto Service approached us with a challenge to raise awareness to this fact on a low budget. We created these posters and placed them in high, foot traffic areas around Milwaukee. Since the posting of the posters British Auto Service has had an increase of new customers.

i can't believe people are still doing this layout. distressed paper, distressed type. All with a bunch of student headlines. go USA!
And what constitutes a "student headline"?

somebody forgot to take his humour vitamins :)
not bad, but it's tough as an american for me to judge these. reason is, even though we speak English here, it's different of course than the English that is spoken in England. As a result, when we try to connect with the English we tend to do so in surface ways. In this case, the word "Wanker". I was in Mexico and about the only think most Americans could say was "una cerveza pleaso" or even worse, i actually heard a guy say "una beer-o please-o". i'm not kidding. it was pathetic. so when i look at these, i sort of wonder if there is a deeper connection than just one word.
but maybe i'm crazy.
i don't agree about the art direction comment though. distressed type and paper is done everywhere around the world, not just here.
