I can just see zero connection here; is the 'outdoorsman' image suddenly exclusive to beards? Was this made around the same time as the pilot for The Life & Times of Grizzly Adams?
Funny. Disappointed in the depth, but it's funny. As far as a connection between these beards and being a mountain man I think that's pretty strong, at least here in the U.S.
