I've never heard of this tea brand, and I am from Chicago and haven't heard about this experiment..

Pretty engaging for the viewers of the experiment, but I doubt that the actual subjects of it enjoyed being tested.
Frankly I doubt that this action is solely responsible for the sales growth in those cities.

like ten years ago in denmark i've seen it's quiet common for peasants there to put goods next to the road and trust people to pay. plus, there you could also take the money others already put in but no one did. coming from germany i was very impressed by the honesty of people there. but maybe

to turn this into an experiment in other countries not used to this is genius. and i'm pissed off i didn't think of that ;)

great idea, perfect PR for the brand and it even shows the world's not as rotten as you think

Nicely done.

Results may be skewed due to the fact that people behave differently when they think they are being watched.

Feel good advertising stunt at its best.
