The history of football clubs has traditionally been told through titles, legends, and iconic moments. But rarely is it told from the perspective of the fans—the true heart of the game.
On September 29, 2024, the 187th league derby between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid took place, and Mahou Cinco Estrellas was once again a part of this historic event. However, this time, they approached it from a different angle. The brand partnered with DHC Films and launched a digital campaign, sharing the story of this legendary rivalry through the eyes of the fans, with two football icons, Roberto Carlos and Milinko Pantic, serving as ambassadors of the fans for this special campaign.
Titled The Fan's Manifesto, this campaign, produced also by DHC Films, beautifully captures the spirit and passion of the supporters of these two great clubs. Roberto Carlos, the legendary Real Madrid left-back, perfectly summed up the essence of being a fan in one of the campaign’s videos: “This is the club for those who, rather than crossing their fingers, choose to take action.” Meanwhile, for Pantic, Atlético de Madrid represents “the club for those who live with their emotions on display in every match. It’s the club for those who can’t imagine life without nerves because the nerves are part of their very existence.”
The campaign was created, developed, recorded and post-produced in just 20 days, shoot in Madrid and Valencia, Spain.
