People don’t trust news media, but they trust Wikipedia. Yet they don’t know how much it relies on The New York Times. To stress the newspaper’s impact on facts, we provide users with the Wikipedia version “Without The New York Times”. We remove every part that comes from our articles and we re-write Wikipedia pages as if The New York Times had never existed, because people realize the importance of things only when they are gone.
