The National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) wanted to show a world where people with Down syndrome are met with fairness, love, and respect. The result, in a new campaign from its creative partner Brass, is Town 21: a place that exists in dreams but could—and should—exist in reality.
Named for the extra copy of chromosome 21 that characterizes Down syndrome, "Town 21" represents a hopeful and inclusive society. Here, every policy, every opportunity, every aspect of daily life is designed with equity in mind. Filmed in pastel hues and stylized sets, Town 21 shows a society where everyone, regardless of ability, is given the respect and opportunities they deserve.
