Zalando

The Last Run

Agency: Jung von Matt

Description

When former Swiss Olympic and World Champion Iouri Podladtchikov suddenly announced his retirement from professional snowboarding, it took everybody in Switzerland by surprise. After dealing with a series of injuries the Olympic gold medallist from Sochi 2014 opted to end his career without a final half-pipe run – an unworthy ending for a Swiss icon known for his free spirit attitude.
To give Iouri the ending he really deserved, Zalando, Europe’s leading online platform for fashion and lifestyle, brought him back one more time. In an exclusive collaboration, the Swiss is going for «THE LAST RUN» and is honoured by Zalando with the limited «The Last Run» Jacket. An event that will be live streamed from the world’s biggest halfpipe in Laax/Switzerland for the whole world to see.
During the whole campaign Iouri even gets to present his vision of winter sports fashion by putting together styles and edits to shop on Zalando – making this an integrated campaign to not only say goodbye to a legend but also marking the legend’s new artsy path to follow and establishing Zalando as inspirational starting point for fashion.

This professional campaign titled 'The Last Run' was published in Switzerland in January, 2021. It was created for the brand: Zalando, by ad agency: Jung von Matt. This Integrated medium campaign is related to the Fashion, Retail Services, and Sports industries and contains 1 media asset.
