Description

"Remember those who don't": Voskhod Agency and the Alzrus Foundation have released a video clip for Alzheimer's Day

Incurable disease, irreversible process, it only gets worse — people facing Alzheimer's disease and dementia seem to fall into an abyss, losing their memories and themselves. Their loved ones suffer just as much. Alzrus is a foundation that has been helping both groups for six years. Together with Voskhod, the organization has produced a video to remind us that those whose lives are turning into a series of "blank spots" need and value support.

"We work to ensure that every family in our country faced with a diagnosis of dementia can receive timely, qualified help and knows how to act in this difficult situation," Alzrus notes.

"Some people with Alzheimer's describe their daily experience this way: "You don't remember recent events, you can only live and make decisions in the present moment". In the video clip, we decided to show everyday life through the eyes of a person who feels like a child lost in a mental labyrinth of endlessly repeating fragments of their "adult" present," said Anton Rozin, creative director of the Voskhod agency.

The music was chosen from a track by the Yekaterinburg thrash metal band Interwall. While the song initially clashes with the boring "everyday life" in the frame, as the viewer progresses through the "labyrinth", it increasingly immerses them in the desperate and helpless state of the protagonist.
