In time for Father’s Day, Walmart’s Black and Unlimited has partnered with acclaimed director, Carl Jones to create an animated series, “League of Black Dads”, which will screen at NICE CROWD’s 2024 American Black Film Festival (ABFF), taking place in Miami from June 12-16.

The series centers on the heroics of a team of Black Dads and aims to supercharge the portrayal of Black Dad’s and their role as active contributors in their children’s lives, while debunking past stigmas of what it means to be Black.

Walmart and ABFF will also continue their collaboration by bringing back the second annual Black & Unlimited Fatherhood Project content creators’ competition, a national competition to champion independent filmmaking while providing a platform to showcase a wide range of stories about Black fatherhood.

Winners will receive: A $10,000 cash award, the opportunity to attend and screen their films at the 2024 ABFF and an industry mentorship opportunity with an established filmmaker

This is just the latest effort from Black & Unlimited, Walmart’s platform with a mission of supercharging the unlimited potential of Black creators and brands by providing access to Walmart's scale.
