Early last month, Chicago creative agency SOCIALDEVIANT kicked off 2023 with three new wins from big brands, including Jenny Craig, Bumble Bee Seafoods, and Medela.
These wins come on the heels of a new manifesto film, “DEVIATE FROM DUH”, which gleefully brings to life the agency’s high-octane stance against mediocre work and officially launches its TV production arm, DEVIANT TV.
Bringing mostly SOCIALDEVIANT talent and crew to a 1920’s castle in Oregon, IL, the agency shot a two-minute video to introduce “DEVIATE FROM DUH,” employing a modern “knight” (Satya Chávez) who gleefully fights off familiar ad-world obstacles and tropes to spotlight how SOCIALDEVIANT takes a creative approach to avoiding the expected, or what they call “bland marketing.”
And it’s this ethos that attracted a new set of clients.
