Description
Amid the rush of everyday life, the use of cell phones has become both a constant companion and a source of distraction. However, the incessant flow of notifications and the habit of endless scrolling present a significant challenge to modern existence: the excessive use of cell phones and its impact on emotional well-being. Never before have we been so connected and, paradoxically, so isolated—often accompanied by anxiety and diminished self-esteem.
It is within this context that the film produced by the Change1Habit initiative, from Unimed Vitória, emerges. The production invites the public to reflect on the consequences of digital dependency. Relying on a powerful visual metaphor, the film presents images of individuals with their heads bowed, evoking a mood of melancholy. Only later does the viewer realize that these individuals are simply absorbed in their cell phones. This symbolic device unveils an uncomfortable truth: excessive phone use can quite literally bring us down.
With sensitivity and emotional resonance, the film encourages a pause to care for one's mental and emotional health—not by demonizing technology, but by urgently calling for a rebalancing between the digital world and real life.
