This action was launched in Belgium on the occasion of a major awareness day against the use of mobile phones while driving. Social media is partly responsible for our distraction behind the wheel. We don't want to miss a post, a story, or a like. And among these platforms, one stands out as particularly problematic: BeReal. This app asks you to respond within 2 minutes and post a photo of what you're currently doing. Unfortunately, 1 out of 3 notifications occurs during rush hours and primarily targets young drivers. To remind everyone to stay focused on the road, even when a BeReal notification appears, we connected a network of digital billboards to the app to launch our own notification at the same time: Stay focused on the road. Not on BeReal.
