Should we take points away because "man up" is perhaps at the height of it's overuse just now?

I just saw the latest commercial for VB, Australia. VB is a beer brand. It too portrayed men as metrosexuals who needed to "man up". This is getting cliched already. Also, this particular approach is going to annoy or alienate the "real" men.
Man up? With LITE? I'll take the cologne thanks.
