After graduating from college, I had the degree, but was missing a portfolio... so I had to create my own. This task proved hard to do while holding down a job, having a business on the side and of course, being social. When it came down to finding a job, I decided to open my own design firm for about five years. Those five years paid off when I finally landed a job at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis... as an assistant mail room clerk. From there, I worked my way up through networking and it wasn't long before I had a seat in the creative department (as a creative coordinator). Now the stork has delivered me to Miami Ad School, where I am inspired everyday to work with students, helping them find that doorway into the industry without having to sort mail to get there. Although, sorting mail can be kind of fun. :)
