Vader *was* better.

THERE'S NO HEAVIER BURDEN THAN A GREAT POTENTIAL

The force is strong with this one.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Young Vader is a tough act to follow. The ending with the cantina scene feels tacked on.

agreed.

Many people saying it's worse than last year but should we care? Last years ad was exceptional. This one is still good I think, it's just a tad stranged that they spice things up with this story-line of a dog and Star Wars to sell a German car.

The first half of the ad would just be average without the second. The second half is borrowed interest. But at least gives it a bit of a twist.

Sorry in the contrary to the "prequel " Young Vader there is absolutely no idea with this, first part painful average and the seconde part a " forced " connection to the earlier Young Vader,
the first part could have been any VW commercial - exchangeable - boring ad !

Millions of dollars in media, hours and hours of thinking and you made a Super Bowl ad with a dog. Sigh.

At least the trailer was great.

Instead of trying to create a connection between Young Vader and this ad by deliberately creating a cantina in Nar Shadaa, it would've been easier to put teen Vader behind the wheel.

Connection, made.

History seldom repeats success. But the training dog is hilarious.

It was good without that ending. Way too self-referencial.

very hard to follow up Vader. But to discuss the Vader ad in the new ad?

Should have ended with right after back, and better than ever. The star wars part is an ad on its own.
