Don Draper's picture

This is ok, but it gets old long before 90 seconds is over.

So I take it there were no writers on this piece then...

Bath yourself in gold-dust then i'll believe you're filthy rich.

"Hit send" Hahahahahahaha!!

Edward Bernays's picture

reminds me of that movie Lord of War

Very funny, but maybe just one scene too many(if I have to be critical).
That guy looks like Idi Amin.
We be havin it:)lol

This is entertaining in a sick, kinda colonial way. But the "We've been having it" line evades me...

In my humble opinion this is f*cking funny.

Hahahahahahahaha, cheesy as hell, but I love it! 1,5 minute is too short. They should make a TV-program out of this :-D

hAhahahaha!

I CANNOT DOWNLOAD THE TV COMMERCIALS

Good direction, it works well as a whole.

Wow. White people making fun of black people. How original.

Wow. A -probably black- man takes it too seriously. Please don't be paranoid. It makes fun out of a mentality not race.

pretty funny, this stuff is a good for online advertising
maybe viral vid...I don't think it cable or network would buy on this spot

TheTokenHasSpoken's picture

Yeah I take racism seriously. If it's about the mentality then why not use a white dictatorial leader . Africa has had no shortage of them. Hey if it's about the mentality why not a Nazi death camp commander and his charges running around doing his bidding. That would be a real laugh right? Open your eyes.

Yeah, this ad suggests that this (and all) black man are pitiful and should be killed off. Racism? Give me a break. People who gets oversensitive gets a bit racist themselves focusing on the color of the skin all the time. He is a man who was perfect for this role with great acting, big voice and stuff. I am not a racist and I've found it really funny.

TheTokenHasSpoken's picture

I never called you a racist. I don't know you... thank god. I was commenting on the content of a TV spot. But it appears by your reaction that you think people who have different sensitivities from your own are somehow wrong and that you need to be label them. You don't respect that other people might have differing opinions from your own. You don't understand that people have values and perceptions derived from lives and life experiences to which you have no knowledge or perception. You choose to lob insinuations and take personally comments not directed at you instead of just accepting the fact that people don't always agree with your opinions. Have fun with that.

Yeah, because 'open your eyes' is not personal. Sure.

TheTokenHasSpoken's picture

What did you call me again? Oh yeah, "probably black- man." Nice. Got any other stereotypical labels you'd like you use? Do you have "lots of black friends?" I suggested you "open your eyes." If you actually took that personally you must hate your eye doctor. Is he black as well?
