UGC: Heinz Ketchup, Next Time Hire an Ad Agency
Here is a spot created to spoof the current User Generated Commercials (UGC) craze and shows people why clients still need a good ad agency.
Heinz ketchup is running a contest where it is asking regular folks to make a Heinz commercial for the chance of winning $57,000. An article currently in The New York Times, states that running the contest takes about as much time and energy as it would for Heinz to just come up with their own ad campaign. Has the user generated commercial trend gone too far?

There's nothing about this ad, created by an agency, that makes it a good parody of UGC. The moral of the story? Agencies can make really bad parody ads too.

I like it! I think it's funny and much better than many ads agencies create!
