Does this remind anyone else of the Harvey Nichols print ads?
There is something I like about it too. Now if they could only combine cats and parkour...

miko1aj's picture 1378 pencils

No. It reminds of Levis' campaign with people miceheads. Bold New Breed. rememer it? It was directed by mr. Michel Gondry.

I am... you wish... that is Australian! :)

What does the ad have to do with the product? Very nice short film with a 5 sec product demo. But completely unrelated.

Bull's Eye's picture

Cute, weird and thrilling...

dshott's picture 477 pencils

Dunno about thrilling, but yes this ad will certainly get people talking about it, plus it's great if your target market are robbers.

I'm quite fond of the music too

in a fight between Hubert http://adsoftheworld.com/media/tv/whiskas_according_to_hubert and Toyota's Ninja Kitty, who do you think would win?

Disco Munky's picture 3839 pencils

Cool short film with no relation to the product.

Go work in the movie or tv if that's what you want to do. Ads need to advertise a product, not show how small and deformed a penis you have.

Cool effects, but just not a good ad.

"stay low, move fast"

Doin' it for the points

Guest's picture

Looks like someone has deformed penis envy.

Disco Munky's picture 3839 pencils

Sounds like you have at least two of the three major forms of retardation.

"Être un invité, doit être un imbécile"

Doin' it for the points

krautland's picture 2461 pencils

funny shit.

One of the funniest moments in film I've ever seen!
Can't stop watching it again and again...

"Hey lets do something cool and out there"
"Yeah lets, that would be cool."
"I know, cats with human bodies."
"Far out, what are you smoking dude? love it!!"
"Ok, done, what shall we do it for?"
"Dunno, a car or some shit."
"Wicked yeah. Game of guitar hero?"
"Bring it dude."

Guest commenter's picture

Cadbury Gorilla has changed advertising.

Whitefang's picture 474 pencils

Agreed. But it linked back to the product with 'a glass and a half of joy'. This has no link, just a line tacked on to a 'wacky' film. Gorilla was great, this ain't.

Guest commenter's picture

I think I kinda get it: action on a smaller scale. If that's the case then I think it's pretty nice. I dunno about the line "Packed with a lil action". That makes the message a lil confusing. I think because the ad is so twisted they coulda just said something like, um, action on a smaller scale. But I can definitely see people talking about it at work. I can't wait for someone to make a spoof of it.

Crisp One's picture 2033 pencils

OK, besides the message maybe being confused by the consumer... this ad is purely entertainment value, people will remember it regardless.

blue_pencil's picture 30 pencils

its a cat eat cat world out there.

Wyvie's picture 76 pencils

This made me laugh - particularly the bit near the end with the cats mesmirised by the swinging light.

But then, I waste a great deal of my time looking at lolcats, so I find cats to be amusing by default anyway.

It doesn't necessarily say much about the product, but it does get people talking, and that's half the battle, isn't it? And it does convey the "packed with a lil action" line. Hey, buy this car and you too can perform a heist on an illegal sardine ring. Lols!
