I loved this the first 400 times I've seen it done before. Now it's like a joke I've heard just too many times.
Maybe it plays fresh in Alabama, USA, but in the real world, we've moved past 1982. Besides, isn't this spot like a year old or something? In and of itself, I guess it's funny and well done, but no one is in a vacuum these days, except maybe the creative directors down there. Hey, here's an idea, next time don't go with the first idea out of the gate and maybe you'll be able to play on a bigger stage.
I'd be interested to see what you think about the Quilters of Gee's Bend spot. I guess if you know something of their history it would have more impact, but what say you? http://adsoftheworld.com/media/tv/the_year_of_alabama_arts_gees_bend_q...
Oh, so now I need a history lesson before being able to properly appreciate something...always thought work was supposed to stand on its own. As for your quilt spot? Cute, but nothing I'd ping the Queen about.
i love this campaign:)
