all that for snickers?
I don't want to be influenced by any of the comments here. Great stuff! It's better than gossiping.
?
Doin' it for the points
cannes gold
No doubt about it. Brilliant stuff.
i love the soundtrack. wish it were just a short film. the logo and tag are a let down.
I agree, it was a cool short film but the product placement at the end made me go "Whu??"
Doin' it for the points
Fucking cool.
It does the job for me - well cool.
Too choice!!!
Fail Harder.
There has been a lot of "stop light signal" stuff in the past, but this is by far the best I've seen.

absolutly fantastic ,
BUt for snickers ??
am i missing something, don't get the link..
The red guys want you to stop. Green guys don't.
the tag is "don't stop"
you know it's a brilliant ad when the connection is minimal yet the ad stays memorable.
Besides that we don't know what the strategy for Snickers over there is. But this ad is great for me, love it.
but.. the red guys 'started' it
very very cool! Maybe it could be a bit shorter... bit that are details :)
design is like a puzzle... I`m just trying to solve it now
unbelievable.
i guessed adidas.
doesn't matter.
great job guys.

That ad was unbelievably stupid.
And for anyone who thinks I'm kidding, I'm not.
In fact, whoever thinks this ad will win anything at Cannes needs to get their head examined and then drop out of the industry.
Ha ha, okay, so you are the king of advertising I presume.
Let's reserve judgement until after Cannes then shall we?
All hail the king!
So did it win anything at Cannes? *cough*
I'll just answer my own question:
FUCK NO IT DIDN'T.
And I'm not surprised. This ad is horrible.
im with copy_can on this. You young fools are hypnotized by the visual effects, look at the idea, yeah exactly, what idea?
I second that
Doin' it for the points
There is no idea.
60 seconds of people fighting, with a horrible tagline shoe-horned in to make the idea half-assed relevant.
This will not win anything at Cannes.
incredibly cool
GOLD!!! BEST OF SHOW!!!
Erm no. It won't be best of show. There's at least two Coke ads plus Folgers 'Happy Morning' that will stomp all over this.
Still I quite like it. Although I'm kind of with the people who have questioned its relevance.
Less relevant than 'color like no other'?
I wouldn't let relevance stand in the way of a cool idea. The judges may differ though I suppose.
"I wouldn't let relevance stand in the way of a cool idea"
You're kidding right?
You work in the industry or are you just some student who thinks they have it in them to play with the big boys?..wait, don't answer.
Doin' it for the points
I won't.
Best of Show? Hey, you are going a little further.
now I will have nightmares. cool awesome lightshow

great!
Amazing work!
Really really nice ad!
i liked to watch it till the end (regardless of how long it was) was impressed with the end, but when snickers came up, i was totally disappointed, TOTALLY

That's because the idea has nothing to do with chocolate. It's stupid.
Everyone sees the animation and all these "cool, glowing, shiny pretty things" walking around and hitting each other, and suddenly "wow, this is awesome!" "This is going to win an award.
Based off the horrible, horrible tagline, you can apply this ad to literally almost any product, running shoes, for example.
Probably not for Tampons or condoms, though.
lol, how many ads - especially in the fashion branch - have nothing to do with the product?
It's a matter of your POV if it has a relation with the product or not.
Vive La Aducation!
Here, I just thought of an ad.
It'll win at Cannes because visually it'll look cool.
Start with a runner running outside under the hot summer sun. He starts to sweat. Beads cover his forehead, and they start dripping off of him.
The beads of sweat fall of the floor and morph into little, water blob-like creatures, with arms and legs only. They start to run after him to do their job of cooling him down.
But the sweat can't catch up to the runner.
This goes on for 60 seconds, then the tagline appears "Works faster when it's hot", and it's for... wait for it:
An oven cleaner.
Cannes gold, boom, right here.
hehe... nobody cleans an oven while its hot, at least not THAT hot... and then there is the scientific fact that sweat keeps the body cool, many people think -wrongfully- it makes u feel hot!
and Golden Cannes goes tooo... Copy_can :)

But how many people understand it the same way? I think this ad can entertain only the people who are fancy of ideas which are just cool as an idea, without even having a CLEAR function, but in fact it will not sell the product itself, it will just make them feel happy that snickers has entertained them. Remember: " We want consumers to say, 'That's a hell of a product' instead of, 'That's a hell of an ad."
Leo Burnett
I like it, and although usually I think a vague link to the product isn't enough to make it a good ad.
However here I think it works fine.
Nice wan!

Game on! >:D
I love the message and also I found the exposure of violence very well done.
Only thing I didn't like about this: Why do the little guys sound like glass?
Vive La Aducation!
"dont stop" ---- "Flexfit" idea - Fits all products
not impressed...
"Sex sells. Truth even better."
A friend
yeah well, ok. admittedly thats kind of right ...
nice spot, though.
Vive La Aducation!
great, love it.
I am smelling Awards here!
Good job guys!
Wonderful!!!! Clack Clack Clack... Beware, the killer pedestrians!
Is using violence in this ad really necessary. What is the message in the ad: beat up the one that is chillin'. They could have used the same idea without seeing the little guys punching each other in the face. It could have been more clever using a masterplan to trap the red little guys without seeing punches. Ads can be persuasive without using violence. The "beat up the person next to you to get to the" top does not work with me.
I don't think they used the trap idea mainly because it sucks.
i don't think 'violence' was the primary message of this video

This ad is only good to the unconscious person, my opinion is the imagery & theme only promotes prejudice, intolerance and violence to thy neighbour…..but when you look at the ongoing conflict with this area, it stands to reason some people like it….because that is the norm and seen as OK. This ad only shows a negative message and should be flushed down the toilet. And as with anything projecting a negative message, it feeds into the psyche of the people, so I hope that all and any violence starts within the snickers manufacturers before it filters to any other people. We, the people don’t need anymore idiotic ads that promote violence, especially for the young malleable minds they are advertising to.
That's maybe the most blinkered opinion I've ever heard.
I know you might say that tv influences people to do stupid things, but I think you'll find the only people that will allow this ad to affect them are the sort of people that were going to do it anyway, and this way was as good as any. You can't change people by restricting what they are exposed to. Look at the human race. We didn't get where we are today purely though reason, logic and repression. We were, BY FAR, the craziest motherfuckers in the jungle and were prepared to kill anything to survive. If anything this ad defends the human condition. It represents what's inside everyone, we just don't like to admit it.
Peace.
I'm not condoning violence, just this ad.
It still only gets 6/10
Doin' it for the points
Your comment is negative and should be flushed down the toilet.
