Fun ads.
Not too sure about what kind of historic sensibilities they're trampling on here, but still lighthearted enough to get the thumbs up.
The San ( 'Bushmen') were hunted by the Nguni tribes migrating from the North and the White settlers moving up from the South. Now largely limited to desert and semi-desert regions, a bit like the fate of Native Americans.
I think he is meant to be khoi. They were traditionally cattle herding people with a high dairy intake.
The Khoi and the San are two distinct groups lumped together as one by the settlers ( as khoi khoi sometimes and as Khoisan or San other times,) The character depicted here and in' Gods Must be Crazy ' are San \ 'Bushman' who were hunters, they were never herders or domesticators of cattle.
Like the effect of the voice over. Feels like National Geographic channel.
What hath God wrought
