Cute. But I have a thing about showing the competition in any advertising. Unless it's absolutely trashing the competitor's product, it's a free ride for them without enough benefit to the main product to justify the other guy's exposure. Focus on why your product is second to none (because in your mind there is no competition) and folks will believe...that is until they taste your product and it sucks, at which time the old adage rings true: Nothing kills a bad product faster than good advertising.

ALL the ads now have the competition in it, the previous coke/pepsi ad... it's all the rage now...

Song has been overused quite some time now - I'd stop using it. And I think it's dangerous to show other brands in your ad, I mean, Jupiler almost got as much time in the ad as Quilmes itself. And then there is the concept behind it, which I don't like too much. Products with legs and/or arms, I wouldn't do it.. Left to say, it was pretty long.

Quilmes is part of the company AmBev which is owned by InBev which owns all of those beers. They are all part of the same parent company.

Quilmes is owned by AmBev, which is owned by InBev. All of the beers in the ad are part of the InBev parent company. Though I agree it is taking away from Quilmes, it is not taking away from the company as a whole.

Okay, so instead of showing the competition they're diluting the brands? Great. Can't wait to see the Lexus face off against the Toyota Camry!

Giving your competition the chance to be at your 120th Birthday! What were they thinking? This should of been all about Quilmes, its great beer and its a Argentine cultural icon. Why not celebrate Argentina? The beer, the history, etc. I can think of any other direction to go that where they went.
The execution was nice. Nicely put together. I agree with Jaap, I don't dig the legs. Personify something else please.
Song has been over done as well. Heard it all over the US for the past couple years, and Amstel does it too.

Young and Rubicam Argentina, one of my favourite agencies in the world.
And one of the worst agencies choosing songs for their spots too.

It's not the competition as some say. Quilmes is a brand from InBev brewery that is all over the world. They borrowed brands from the same company to say "Everyone around the world celebrates with Quilmes", which in my humble opinion is a simple and strong message.

Puts Quilmes "up there" with the top beers in the world, plus the account managing behind this must've been a lot of work.
