You could take anyone's words out of context and place them in different scenarios if you wanted to make them look bad. It's a cheap shot really, and quite unfair.

I'm a pretty left-leaning guy, but this just makes me feel sympathy for Palin. If this were actually approved by the Obama campaign (as opposed to an attempt by an agency to scoop up some ill-deserved awards) it would put me off supporting him. It's nothing but empty propaganda.

Couldn't agree more with you there!
This video significantly brought down the amount of respect I had for this agency for all these years. Quite sad they had to resort to this tactic to make a simple point.
I'm more troubled by the fact that this was approved by Jeff and Rich as it went out the door than by anything else...

VERY disturbing and juvenile stuff.

Also, in case people haven't noticed, that's a lookalike actress playing her. That's not actually Sarah Palin.

Guest commenter's picture

i don't look videos on this site anymore. it's some kinda problem with them, they are too slow, don't start to play...

Guest commenter's picture

I agree about the Flash player videos on this site. They take forever to load. But only on this site, for some reason. The Quicktime videos worked much better.

This is not a ad...it's "propaganda"!!!!

kgeiger's picture 5158 pencils

Populist propaganda at that.

i'm not sure her idiocy needed to be dressed up in a half-baked, hurriedly cg'ed, poorly lip synced video.

i think it's stronger coming from the source.

Guest commenter's picture

That totally does not look like Sarah Palin. Lame.

Yeah, the video looks rather "Forest Gump" but the message gets through nonetheless.

On a political note, I find it hard to believe that anyone who truly leans left would have a problem with this spot. This is hardly a cheap shot. It simply reinforces the obvious. Considering what the backwards-thinking right wants to do to this country (and the world), and the vicious never-ending lies they've spread during this campaign, I in NO WAY feel sorry for Sarah Palin and her ilk. This spot was created with her own words! Their wounds are all self-inflicted. Hopefully the world will get to breathe a collective sigh of relief come Wednesday morning.

"It simply reinforces the obvious."

Politics aside, this is a site that should be focusing on advertising. Oh well, at least that comment made me laugh.

- Commenting in all caps with poor spelling and grammar is so done before -

- The only thing more rare than a good ad is a good guest comment -

The video is predictable and doesn't accomplish much.

This video is rubbish and accomplishes nothing. Why didn't they just use the actual footage? People going for Obama will pat themselves on the back and those going for McCain will point out the obvious phoniness. Those who are undecided will wonder why they used an actress rather than the actual candidate and think perhaps this is a load of bollocks. Back to the drawing board.

What's the problem with videos on this site, it's taking ages to load :(

Several dozen (!!!) people produced this pile of crap. They had way to much time to waste. Though, I guess they were paid well... It's called "creative whore house"...
And, BTW, why this kind of video is here? Completely unrelated to the the subject of the site.
