Wonderful ! To make new friend, you just need to cross their villages as fast as you can... Nice concept, poor message.

Isn't this a perfect e.g of career suicide, what the F's wrong with the copy in this ad? Or maybe it's intentionally part n parcel to futher drive the idea home?

agreed. this is not about 'making friends' at all.

Must be some kind of 'client comment'.

Blahg's picture

I think it carries the message well. I think you're just maybe mixing up the time line. At the end he's showing pictures of the remote African tribes. The premise is that this guy visited these remote tribes in his SUV and they remember the song he was playing and incorporate it into their traditional dance.

I thought it was pretty clever.

Yeah, I like it very much. The message is clear: " with this car I will go to other lands and I ll make new friends"
It´s possible that de size of "translation" copy is ok to internet file.
Great Job!

Different. Mixing Culture, Advertising/advertising.

oops

Nice idea or nice twist.

I mean, in some how I found the commercial a little bit similar to an Argentinian tv spot for Renault in which you have one guy cleaning a place and singing just one word of a song and when the Renault Clio pass you discover the song... anyway, maybe it is just me. Nevertheless, I like this one.

Get up, get on up
Get up, get on up
argentinian renault ad

HERE IS THE CLIO MTV COMMERCIAL,

BYE

Takes too long to get to the point

I think this is one of the coolest car commercials.
