Their mathematics are a little wonky.

The chances of giving birth to a Nobel Prize winner are far less than 1 in 80,000. Of course the chances of a male giving birth to a Nobel Prize winner are zero. And even assuming women have an average of - say - 2 or 3 children, there is still way less than 1 in 80,000 chance.

There are about 12 prizes awarded each year (excluding economics which is not a Nobel prize. Despite being awarded by the same committee, it was not apart of Alfred Nobel's bequest), and roughly 135 million people are born every year, that makes roughly one in 12 million, at best.

Their other figures are just as crappy. I hope the engineers who built the car are better at math than the guys who did the ad.

Apart from the ridiculous mathematics, that Guest above mentioned, 1 in 700.000.000 means there are about 8 models made. So the line "Are you the Chosen One?" is completely crappy, since all of them have been pre-ordered long ago. Not bad concept however.

extremely bad ad. the copywriting and concept are so pathetically forced and wannabe cool. the try to put a little humor in it fails miserably. and i really wanna see some reasons for the numbers. and why would it be a chance to own a lamborghini? u buy it or u dont. period. the car seems sweet, the ad should make the creatives use large amount of sedatives...

Quite really.

I dont like it very much. Nothing special. Small idea. The joke (1 in 20 makes it down the hill) isnt well placed.
And also the images doesnt seem to fit together perfectly. Like stock material that was forced to work together.
Anyway, cool car.

It is stock material, mongo! We had to use it, cause of time. Anyhow: I see, that you don't get it. Start WORKING in advertising. Get a job.

The car looks too much CGI.

The voice of the speaker, the sound and video make great impact, if you don`t pay atention to the numbers ;)

just what i was thinking... if is so exclusive why a tv spot? or web, is so mainstream...

Guest's picture

It is not Tv nor web. It was for the IAA. You are mainstream.

28 votes? average 7.5? I suspect someone connected with the ad is voting this up. Though I can't see why they'd bother.

Guest's picture

No fucking way. The ad is just good.

If this is 'good', i would hate to see your definition of 'mediocre at best'.

when you have a bad product you talk talk talk and come up with bogus ideas and visuals. I wonder what is going on in the heads of these creatives when they look at this beautiful piece of art...

Guest's picture

well you can see the most of the bad comments about the ad just have a bad abused life or kind of miserable .. just trying to find mistakes in other's work although you cant take from them except urine.
great job guys .. the ad is great

Weak! If I were obscenely rich enough to afford one of the VERY limited, I'd just as well throw some more onto the pile and order a custom made one.
Why be one of eight when I can be just one?
