Love this as a piece of film. It's a big pity it ends with KFC. There's no link, there's nothing...

I find it funny when brands like KFC, McDonald's, etc start making schmaltzy spots like this one. Let's all celebrate obesity. It's interesting that the people in this spot don't look like they regularly eat at KFC.

I eat junk food regularly and I'm still slim. It's not the junk food that makes people fat. It's too much food. You can get fat from eating healthy food too. :)

Very poignant with excellent song selection.

I say that ad is better than this one.

I still like the KFC ad though.

The Viagra ad makes sense for the product. This one doesn't. "I'm hungry," slapped on at the end has nothing to do with anything.

It's not slapped. The whole dance is playing. They get tired. Haven't you heard any child coming tired from playing outside, begging for food? For me, it's the best emotional ad this year.

It doesn't matter if the idea was done for other products, as long they are addressing different needs. If it works here as well, why not? The purpose is to sell, not to make something nice to look at and original.

I agree with talkingisfree, the link is tenuous at best.

Great ad. Lovely song. Reminds me of the Levi's campaign.
Pity it's for a bucket of greasy, fried chicken bits.

I have some questions.
Are they brother and sister? Were they agoraphobic?

All that said, I enjoy watching this ad.

Why does everyone think this is really good?!?!? It's terrible! We've been debating whether it's a joke for about half an hour and now realised it's not. It's like a big mishmash of previous John Lewis ads - this overrules anything nice about the execution. And the insight is rubbish - KFC is with you through life? I don't think so.

I really like the film but KFC? Has nothing to do at all with anything!

Rip-off of Levi's Dangerous Liaison (amongst others) and a very tenuous link to the product. It's still shot nicely but ultimately this ad fails.

I love this advert, very moving. BUT I have to agree with everyone else ... what does KFC have to do with it?
