I loved the whole strong bit, Excellent, but yes, long.
love "what's that on your shirt" bit
... its already been done...
Yeah, haha! And the nosebleed as a result ('strong'). Beautiful music bytheway!!!!
Oh how I LOVE this. I never understand why ad's use cursing though. I like it, but it would never fly on TV.
yep, the robert-de-niro-cursing was the only thing that bothered me too. but very nice anyway...
Killer
Hm everybody likes it (me too, btw) but 1.8 points on 224 votes?? dont get it
Maybe there are 200 new guys they thought 1 is good. However I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
I think it was made by DDB paris (and not USA)
Yes, it's from DDB Paris. (you can tell by the names lol)
Thanks! Since Sarkozy, I had the impression Paris is part of USA. ;)

Nice.
grrrrrrrrrrrreat.
great, really great.
this was awesome. and i say props on the swearing because thats how people talk, especially de niro. and a guy accusing a donkey of trying to fuck his wife is a good unexpected touch especially around the 45second mark, but the music should have cut out during that part, then kicked back in as the "a little de niro" text came up.
Love it. Such an awesome track choice too.

GREAT! idea, story, execution, message! wish that were mine.
Love it.
Especially the De Niro-part "You tried to fock my wife? Motherfocker" =)
hahaha! Awesome.
Minus the F words, I really like this ad. It's fun - I've sent it to half a million friends.
Wish I knew what song that was...
It's there in the credits; Eyes without a face - Billy Idol. Great song indeed.
I'd been a little bit more agressive wit the final copy...
"The perfect man doesn't exist,
his magazine does..."
See you on the road...
Yes, my profile picture is my dog on my sister's bed, with a pillow and a blanket...
cheers!
cheers!
I think this ad is clever and exceptionally well done. However, it alienates me, because I Iift weights and run, and the ad seems to mock athletics (not severely or anything). However, I may not be GQ's target audience. I'm forty. I'm more likely to read Esquire, because it features more actors my age, and, in general, it seems geared toward my age. GQ seems like it's trying to collet more twentysomething readers. Again, great ad, but designed to exclude anybody who isn't in the mood for quirk or Simpsons-esque humor. My point is this: Would it appeal to a younger De Niro type? I don't think so, even though he's (fondly) referenced in it.
I guess I'm wondering if the ad works (it certainly entertains).
