This is of course a spoof of this original Benny Benassi video:

I'm not sure if I really find this so creative, there was already a men version of this too:

Crap. I bet you wouldn't give this 10 stars if your mom or grandma (?) was in the video shaking her boobs or ass. This is like senior softcore porn. On the youtube page, this video apparently gave some dudes "boners". This would definitely advance the "equal pay" cause. What a joke (at the expense of women).

There was no confusion as to what that is, but really...."some dudes got boners"

Your entitled to your opinion

Dude,

Re-read what I initially wrote before you post a response. The "boners" thing is from the youtube page. I did not make it up.

You're kidding right? This is obviously using satire to show how women are treated unfairly, not actually taking advantage of them. It's a technique. Wow. I guess subtlety is a loss art. Look up the word satire beefore making any more comments on this sight.

On this sight?

So you joined the site (that is, sight) 8 min ago to specifically comment on this ad alone? I don't need someone like you - responsible for creating such crap - to educate me on what satire is. Not to mention the fact that this is not an original idea, but a spoof.

the sexual cues make the whole thing more distinctive but ultimately obscure the point.

What a fricking bad music. It's unbelievable how easy is to make a crappy product and have success with such a trashy nothing.
And the ad is okay idea, but only for those who've seen the original "product". In my opinion it's very narrow channel, but I'm not very much into such stuff.

Can the pros in the room plz explain why this is bad, this doesn't seem to be forced, its juxtaposed (hilariously) to a popular viral that most people can reference, and it doesn't seem like its forcced to make it funny...all just kinda fits...imo, but I'm very curious as to why its bad

Here's an intelligent ad, commissioned recently for International Women's Day, which I like:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkp4t5NYzVM&feature=player_embedded

You may not appreciate seeing Daniel Craig in drag (even though that's done for a reason), but at least you get to learn something after watching this ad; something you may wish later to discuss with other people.

So I think the difference between this ad and the crap posted on this page is obvious, and so no explanation with regard to its merits is necessary.

but do lessons always have to be serious...I suppose this spot falls into the same arena as the "Cat Wranglers"....hilariously executed but soon forgotten...cant deny its hilarity though...merit maybe not but perhaps the idea is observed when the target engages with the service

Sorry mate - maybe i haven't been clear. My negative comment concerned MUSIC, NOT THE AD. It was a digression, nothing in common with a commercial per se.

not your comment in particular, but atb2005 makes a good point...perhaps the attitude for a serious subject needs to remain serious in order to not lose the importance of whats being said...but on this ad, I feel you can get away with it since I can see people flipping through channels...they would stop on this.

You know that recent remake of Psycho, where they went frame by frame and 'refreshed' a classic? This reminds me somehow of that - they follow exactly the same pacing as the original. Where the original had cute asses and horny women to look at between the text flashes, this has overly long shots of grannies in the same poses and actions: the original is titilation, this remake is kind of unsettling, making me at least wonder if watching this makes me a granny-grabber.

If they had just 'nodded' to the original and kept the messaging closer together it wouldn't be so bad. The gaps between the messages emphasise the fact you're spending time watching grannies being provocative. It detracts from the end message, which is only given at the end and only once. Nobody would have minded if there was more copy and it wasn't in exactly the same place and time as the original, I think.

Did you think if the girl is somebody`s mom when watching the original video? Would you have the same reaction if you saw eldery male handling power tools? I think the ad is spot on and we don`t always need such ad to be serious, in fact there are people who would rather change chanells than watch a serious ad and consider the message.

Let see if this so called "brilliant" ad works if you replace these beautiful models with men ages 59-70.
I want to see this remake with the same slogan !!!
