Drug Aware: Alice

Being a young person is never easy, especially when you’re lumbered with a great hairy ‘hump’ growth on your spine. The brave story of Alice, a young girl with the superhuman-like ability to drink hundreds of litres of water before hitting the music festival circuit, is being used by Perth’s Brand Agency and Drug Aware to promote a message of water consumption this festival season.

Camel Girl: The Story of A Girl and Her Hump’ premiered exclusively online on Boxing Day and has already received over 2,800 views on YouTube.

I'm with Karcheski on this one. That IS a long way to walk.

Well shot, but could you get to the point a little earlier? If the message is "You're not a camel-person, you need to drink water at music/drug fests, then just say it in 30 seconds and move on. What a looooong, drawn-out message that, though well-shot, is also kinda weak. We never see her in-situ, so we don't make the connection. What's the point of showing her shave her back, sit at the beach, be in awkward romantic situations if we're left wondering what the ad is for 90% of the way through? It distracts us with trying-to-be-clever diversions that really aren't that effective. The pacing's off, has no energy, and is better suited for real body morphology issues. Come on Brand Agency, have some fun with it! Your target is young, hip and energetic and this just puts them to sleep. 3/10 only 'cause there's an idea there and for the camerawork, but it's just not executed well.
