Wow. Keep it up. Great stuff.
Great spot but that Simian song was used way more effectively in a Peuguot spot that won at Epica a couple years back...

I love it!!!!
Kind of weird that no one thinks its patronizing. Dove has bombarded women with what they are now rallying against, for over 30 yrs. Very contradicting, however if they posion themselves as the responsible/parent cream, then hats off.
Strip. Strip. Strip.
But you have to hand it to Dove, they're brave enough, if not to admit their mistakes, to at least take a clear position. I imagine that these adverts go home well with the 20-somethings - and Dove's previos consumer core was probably way into their pensions...
Don't be so quick to label this an altruistic approach. These ads show that Dove's agency and research pointed that this sort of campaign would appeal to its customers. There is a beauty industry backslash in full swing that Dove is taking advantage of but hasn't created.
Keep in mind too that Dove is a Unilever brand. Other Unilever brands include Slim-Fast, Lux, and AXE, so the same company is simultaneously marketing a product that uses the sex images it attacks in the spot above for its deodorant brand and creates insecurity and bad body image to sell its diet shakes.
Doesn't sound like you should be giving Dove so much credit.

Advertising. Altruistic? This is a business.
Are you rebutting your own comment?
Hmmm... I thought I replied to yours... But maybe I just wasn't clear enough in my first comment.
It's obvious what Dove's doing, and why they're doing it. And I for one think they're doing it rather well.
I like it very much. I am just confused about the clips where they've shown the shots of women losing and gaining weight. Dove is all about Skin Care. So keep the competition and target just to skin care only. But Nice Commercial.
this is wonderful... and creative420 the losing and gaining weight is a part of the artificial beauty ladies are looking for these days.. it is part of the target as well..

I love it , but dove is a part of the beauty industry, no ?
Brilliant spot, but what is with the music.
I have young kids. This smacked me right between the eyes. Nice.
Very Nice.

Sorry, this is too literal.
Why did they take a beautiful girl for the ad?
Hypocrites.
And the creative sucks, by the way.
Of course they are. And, beauty is relative.
Too pretty girl.catchy.Too catchy.
