Total re-make of an asian car ad. Word for word. Only the bad guy was an alien in ther asian execution.
Anyone knows when this and the "original" asian spots aired?
It won many awards in 2000 when Badillo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Puerto Rico did it.
This is stupid.
The Asian version (Original) is cheeky. Then it was an Alien. This version, with that stupid soundtrack, and serious sounding guy had a dumb looking thief..... this would be perfect if they round off with the cool Alien girl like the Asian version, then set the scene in a dark night with a thunder storm lurking... that'll be perfect.
The bad guy just looks too stupid for the set up... and the hot sunny day spoils it all.

Well, same idea as the nice Mercedes Benz commercial some years ago, where he's coming home late and pretends, his Merc broke down... and get's a slap in the face from his wife...
(Personally I like that one better, it's more saddle and has no stupid twist...)
