boring and just like most Bank ad's...sure the client wanted this kind of work.
Simple ideas are the best !
nice
Boring? It's no Schwarzenegger flick but come on. It's executed well.
As to the concept; it's not ground breaking but it's a helluva lot better than many bank ads. It actually addresses what is important at the moment, namely that people don't feel secure with financial institutions. At my first agency I did a lot of bank adverts and I was going numb from images of waterfalls and grandchildren. This isn't bad and the fact that it won't bring home a lion doesn't mean it's not a successful ad.
- The only thing more rare than a good ad is a good guest comment -
I agree that can be a successful ad and it's well executed but still...boring. I think it is time to do something new for Bank's, they need fresh ideas and sure this year you will see great stuff for Bank's.
Simple ideas are the best !
In the future.
There will be people who do research.
In the future.
these people will have a small memory for things gone by.
In the future.
These creative individuals will realise that almost this exact idea, concept and voice over was used for Orange mobile phone (Future Thoughts) some years ago.

Especially in the financial crisis – such a stupid commerical.
i dont know why the emotional approach is considered as a helpful one when we want to talk about the "liars" such as those of the banks, world's crisis is exploding and changing the face of the universe because of these ignorant banks and their strategies, i full oppose this commercial and everything it stands for, and i wish it is the last one on earth period

Your clients must just love you. If you don't know why an emotional approach works or why your post is a loony rant, than I certainly hope you don't work in advertising.
