Let me see if I get this right; a giant floating wooded head, lot's of flying cocoa beans with faces, a city with squared lightning disco floor, american-style rappers, donkeys, bikes and strange 80's color explosions..

The concept of the video is random but the fact that it celebrates some of the things that Ghana represents is a good thing. Its time for people to open up their minds an realise that the worldis a global village.....In Ghana, we celebrate our culture and the lives that we have been Blessed-no matter what!

I think it's great, i'm African i don't particularly like cadbury chocs but i do like the advert! African parties rule!
This advert is racist. It reminds of old stereotypes of black people as portrayed on American TV in the 1950's - always dancing around and smiling, happily oblivious to the 'real' world around them.
Why are they having a party in the middle of the day? Because Mr. Cadbury head is in town? It makes no sense.
Ive been looking at how africa is presented in western media, and i have to say this is a thumbs up for me (although the strange wooden head confuses me). overall i think this is a positive representation of ghana, i only spent 3 months there, but i feel that for once the media has listened and observed and produced something that looks like Ghana, rather than what they think Ghana should look like. Im so fed up of seeing the same old cliche images of death, disease, corruption etc.. as the whole of africa is forming in to these generalised stereotypes. The use of ghanian high life musica nd the general humour takes me right back to ghana, im not sure of cadburys ethics, but i think this praises ghana!
Bizarre, bizarre, bizarre.... What is the wooden head meant to be? What's going on? But then, once you get over that, it's inventive and original. I truly haven't seen another ad like it. The high-life music and the dancing was far from the usual cliches we get on Brit TV, so I don't see how people could see this as offensive or cliched.
There's only so much famine and corruption you can get, especially in a Cadbury's ad. The point about smiling and dancing Africans on 50s tv, sure I understand, but this is far from BBC depictions of half-clothed "natives" in the bush dancing around a fire and singing tribal songs, which we still get today. This is modern, fun and a good advert, even if I don't quite get it.
