there was this time my friend, an ad was made featuring a singing gorilla. People thought it was a joke. Or actually it was nice, but not super special. Next day people woke up and found out it won grand prix. Go figure!

are you on crack? I was living in london when the gorilla broke. everybody went fucking bonkers over it. the papers kept writing about cabral. there was never any doubt that it was gonna win big. the grand prix came way late to that party.

this ad on the other hand is nice but not earth-shattering. it seems to be running in india though and that's a good thing. we should all wish for a higher rate of nice work from emerging markets.

Singing gorilla? Don't you mean drumming gorilla?

yup, singing and druming gorilla. As said before, it was nice but not that great. Never understood why they won something...

I am not so sure about this, it’s a cheap attempt at doing something viral but stying in a solid commercial environment, I say meh…

The ad is totally out of the blue, different and cute. I like the idea 'one has to earn' the right to eat it. I guess, dark chocolate was not successful the first time around. Now they seem to have the target segment more clearly defined. Subtly, it implies that the product is a treat to oneself. Like it.

It's probably the worst commercial I've ever seen... And I really DO LOVE Cadbury!

This is pathbreaking stuff.
I think this is a brave attempt by Cadbury, esp since it is for the Indian market.

Saw this recently when in India and thought the press that went with it was well written too - am suprised it's an Indian campaign actually.
