I don't work for these guys but i'd say it was pretty clear that the strategy is to prove that people love Whoppers more than anything else. Thus, going into BK while your team is playing (whom you no doubt love hence you own the shirt), proves you'd rather eat a Whopper than watch them play. You love soccer, but you love BK (The Whopper) more. Pretty simple stuff, man...

That being said, it's not that great of an idea.
