Pretty grand brand platform for a cheap gas station beer.

Alcohol has never had a role in athletic achievement. You're more likely to sit on the couch than kick a winning goal. In fact, alcohol is a depressant. Maybe explains some of the bummed-out fans.

So, are we going to notice the irony in this Budweiser commercial about sports? Does this mean cigarettes should get back into sports advertising, too?

Nice idea and targeting the right emotional chords for football fans, but completely wrong for the brand. Budweiser is American Football, NASCAR, Basketball, cow pie tossing, whathaveyou. But not football, not by far {well, perhaps MLS, but you know what I'm talking about...}
