No one dies at the end?! Great!!! Finally someone did some thinking before shooting anti-alcohol ad!
This ad is trying to give a negative image. But at the same time it's also promoting him as a hero. You may see him as an annoying drunk that doesn't shut up. But at the same time he is standing up for his son and giving him the chance to show the team his talents. So the father is also being shown as a hero and is proud of his son.
I see the approach you've tried but it's just not selling the idea.
