At 0:24 the woman pats her stomach indicating (or so I thought) that she's pregnant so I assumed she wasn't drinking. Also the idea that you kill your friends to keep them from drinking and driving didn't gel with me, I understand they're making a metaphor, but still them being dead isn't better then them risking their lives.
I think what they were trying to picture was... the guy who shoot them wasn't a friend...
I think they're implying that if you let your friends drive home when they're drunk, it's the same as if you killed them yourself. You're responsible for their deaths by not stopping them. Quite brutal ad.
i luv it how it's unpredictable but the message strategy doesn't do it for me

A well executed ad that hits the message. Don't let your friends drink and drive - there is no nice way to say it - impactful ad and therefore very effective
i love how this ad calls you out for being not such a good friend if you let your friends drink and drive. letting them=you might as well put a bullet in their heads. it's true. only thing is, the guys in this tvc didnt seem to have too much... i know even moderate amounts impair judgment, but people do this all the time when social drinking, and most people seem to manage very well - so this ad may come across as a bit extreme. still, the shooting device is an excellent analogy. love it.
