Where's the thrill of YAMAHA ?
Jaggy, MICA Ahmedabad
on the oceans theres no speed limit (not including the harbors), so to me this seems very forced.
Water says "boat", radar gun says "too fast". This resonates with me, but I am not knowedgable on the subject. I could see where the audience would dismiss this piece and less than insightful.

My point exactly.
funny and simple :)
Boring.
Why most of the Italian ad's are so yesterday...?
whats wrong with this ad?
And most of all who cares if it is an italian or a japanese or thailandese ad?
For me it works, maybe it is not the best ad ever, but it is clver and works very well on the Yamaha sea engine brand.
I like the execution, simple and effective.
Bravi.

Advertising pass, pasta remain...
Francesco, this only a not so good idea. It's forced, wrong, not so clever, because as someone else said, there is no speed limit on the sea.
If you base your ad on truth you will do best ads.
Read bill bernbach.
bill? it's you?
incognito gigolo,
probably it is because we are one day forward belgium...
ha la misma en el deserto
y'a la même dans le désert
there is the same in the desert
brainsugar,
I have to give you a tremendous news.
speed limits in the sea: they do exist.
at least for the italian laws.
look for it.
a better ad would have been a speed boat hidden behind a poster in the middle of the sea.
But I think it as already been done.
And why do I look for an ad based on a bad bassement?...
i agree with brainsugar
I like it and thought it was well pulled off. As a consumer if I were to see this in a magazine I'd get a chuckle, and most importantly, I'd get the impression that Yamaha had fast boats which is exactly what this Italian agency was trying to do. Nice work.
Its not genius but i think it delivers the correct message yamaha = fast plus its pretty to look at.
Some of the most awarded ads in the world are based on exaggerating the benefit not always truth
take the Nugget shoe polish campaign...one of the most awarded campaigns at Cannes.
Please... This is far away from the Nugget ad...
A new location for an old idea.
Incognito Gigolo learn to read...I did not say its anywhere as good or close to the nugget campaign, I said it has the same mechanism of exaggerating the product benefit.
exagerating yes, but exagerating the truth.
Yes but exaggerating the truth often wins awards like the nugget campaign...
realistically you wouldn't be able see a criminal around the corner on your shoe just like you don't get speed cameras in the middle of the ocean
= exaggerating the product benefits.
what truth is this exaggerating? there are no speed limits on water. and even if there were, i don't think the itallian coast guard would be dumb enough to try to catch them with a stationary object. in my opinion, this is bad student work with a relatively big budget.
hey, brainsugar and gigolo!
we have understood your idea.
we have understood you don't like this work.
you don't have to convince anyone.
come on... take it easy.
well, let's talk about cannes.
the art director of this work
is finalist in cannes 2007.
what's about you?
Arghhhhh... you killed me...I've never been finalist at cannes....let me here... go away without me....arggghhhh. tell my wife I love her.... And I love you too special K....
brainy.
it's hard for me to say.
but.
your wife...
she is escaped with the art director of yamaha work...
that's life.
Boony! Hang-the-dj! kre8! Chris! Davosk!
Or any other Aussies out there...
Was it a Toyota 4WD poster/dps a few years back... with the cop/radar on a rock in the middle of nowhere?
>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.
Have Can or Can't(cannes)... you're only as good as your last Ad!
jono
>>>jonft,
probably this fits for maldives...
