No amount of advertising will make up for this product's 68% failure rate.
Good advertising makes bad products sell. And this is good.

No, good advertising tells the truth about a product. It doesn't sell more XBox, but can save them from going bankrupt.
"Assume nothing, question everything."
That failure rate is only for 1st gen models. They're well into their 4th gen now.

"I love some things, and don't love some other things."
I like it. It proves that there actually can be creative advertising in the gaming market without showing any screenshot of actual products (or something, that looks like that).

the problem with the ad is that its a little lame and boring, considering that we're talking about a videogame console…

not revolutionary. but good. this idea has been done quiet a few times before. repeating is not a problem if it is appropiately fits. in this case, its going well, however, lacking in origniality.

too simply for the brand...
too simple for the brand...
We can feel the mix between sports and XBox. The shape is continuing, cohesion is ok.
But any rounded form can suit this ad, it's good when it feels unique...I don't feel it very much.
Could have done without "XBOX 360" written just under the logo.
