Fantastic powerful copy. Nice one.
Apparently, the O&M HK team labours under the impression that any fatal domestic violence against a woman in a Muslim family is considered a 'honour killing'. I think you may want to understand it better before you try and stop it. That apart, why would a narrative from the point of view of a remorseful / guilty / sympathetic household implement persuade anyone to do report the crime?
The copy is well written though.
"Advertising sucks... ever so gently."
"That apart, why would a narrative from the point of view of a remorseful / guilty / sympathetic household implement persuade anyone to do report the crime?"
Because if this scissor is the ONLY one can talk, the crime will never been told. Get that?
Thanks to the writer. She ruined my day.
Hats off.

Strip. Strip. Strip.
Why, wasn't your mom free?
Reminiscent of Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns. Nice idea. Nice copy.

Because scissors shouldnt have more morals than humans. Thats why.
magnifique
The English seems a bit basic. I feel it could have been better written.
You guys are wasting your time...these people would rather kill you and still be radical snobs, the way they have been since ages ! Will you try to change their religion ? Anyway since this piece of work is up here, i read the whole copy, i am not sure a Lotta ppl would read this copy.

Why are you equating basic writing with poor english? Hemingway wrote in a very basic way too.

By basic I don't mean simple, I'm all for simplicity. By basic english I mean primary school level... you can tell that the writer does not speak english as their first language, or otherwise has not heard of flow, composition and pace... things I would say should be a prerequisite for any copywriter.
nice idea.
Solid campaign...
Just when i thought classic long copy ads were dying... this one springs up and puts all my fears to rest...
Hats off!!
samuelcarlos... could it b dat he wanted to achieve that so it seems like the scissors is talking like a normal human being and not a college professor? just thinking...
You may be right, although I very much doubt that is the case. I see the ad was done in China, so perhaps it was done in Chinese and then translated into english.
I agree with aadi. What a pleasant surprise... a "retro" campaign with a "vintage" flair and a powerful result: emotional impact.
"there's nothing more difficult than a line"p.picasso
congratulations!
