There is no place on Earth that looks like this from above.

sonal dabral's picture 24 pencils

There is no place on this Earth that looks fit for cynics like you. I like this ad.

slim's picture 1047 pencils

Good for you. It doesn't change the fact that this is one good idea (Leopard) and two mangled ad-wrecks (this and Tiger). I could go on pointing out the problems with each ... the ridiculous-looking shadows and unnaturally bent trees in Tiger, the illogically brown patches of dirt in Snake ... but I suspect I would be wasting my time. I'm more curious to discover why you're such a fan of these. Wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that they came from your old agency would it? These aren't your mate's ads, are they? Looking to get your grubby little name on them as ECD, perhaps?

To even suggest such things, now that truly would be cynical.

I don't know where you got that info from. Let's not make up facts and figures here - 80.67% of people don't like it.

chintan ruparel's picture 1516 pencils

80.67% hehehe

My first assertion, about him once working for O&M Mumbai, is a known fact. The second and third are just speculation. A bit of harmless pot-stirring.

PaulyG_fill in the blank's picture 1154 pencils

I was more referring to your comment that there's no place on earth that looks like that. Earth is a pretty big place.

JCHS's picture 66 pencils

Theres a similar campaign from DDB spain concept was every city has a wild side. reminds of that, and who cares who havent done an ad with maps seen from above?

sonal dabral's picture 24 pencils

You can't speak English right, what the bloody hell are you talking about?

PaulyG_fill in the blank's picture 1154 pencils

Hey buddy. "You can't speak proper English. What the bloody hell are you talking about?" That's how it should have been said.

You made one of the most egregious errors in English - a comma splice. You separated two complete sentences with a comma. Get your own shit together before you start degrading others.

JCHS's picture 66 pencils

First of, all I dont, give a flying f...k if my, english is bad I dont like this ,ad bc i ve seen ,better like this ,ad for audi, from DDB spain. Who the f...k are you ,anyway i ,can say ,what i, think,,, any time, i feel like it ,,,and i can put all the comas,,, i want to ,,,so you get your shit together.

msred's picture 499 pencils

stop fighting. tis silly.

PaulyG_fill in the blank's picture 1154 pencils

I wasn't even talking to you pal. I was talking to the guy who was making fun of someone's English. So just take it easy.

PaulyG_fill in the blank's picture 1154 pencils

I would never make fun of someone's English, and that's why I made the comment. Sonal is making fun of someone, when his English isn't even correct. It certainly wasn't directed at you. It upsets me when people come on here and make stabs at people for no good reason.

Dear Slim,

Are you an astronaut or what? There’s a thing called creative freedom in this world. And by the way, why don’t u post some of your ads and let us judge them…

slim's picture 1047 pencils

Sonal, Adaholic - is it cynical to point out that an ad isn't working so well (IMHO) because the idea relies on a forced execution? The primary purpose of this site is to get feedback on ads so that we can all get better at producing them. That's all I was doing. If you disagree with me, tell me why. Don't make it personal.

And Sonal, having a go at someone's poor English on a website with people contributing from all over the world is pretty poor form. Especially when your own comment is grammatically questionable.

adthtsucks's picture 56 pencils

slim ur feedback can never improve anyones creativity. and who r u to improve others. show ur works let others comment on it, may be u can improve ur stuffs.

slim's picture 1047 pencils

What a waste of time......

jennywhx's picture 1144 pencils

I seriously just don't understand why people like to argue here, especially on "who speaks proper english?".
Does this site only open for people who from US or england or watever place that english as their main language?
Is it really SO important that to comment in "proper english?", the meaning of comment is the content itself or the grammar?
I admit my english is bad, but i don't want to make it a barrier for me to communicate with the world,

if only people who know how to speak proper english can talk, then i can only say i am very disappointed to the world.
Can anyone please stop critic about grammar or language mistake here? Does it really matter
?
I am sorry i am not posting about comment here, but this is my little wish that i seriously hate to see nonsense argue about grammar anymore.

chintan ruparel's picture 1516 pencils

HAHAHAHA!!! im havin fun man...go on

~ old habits die hard, older ones never do ~

sheetalz's picture 148 pencils

Thank you so much Jenny. HATZZ OFF for u.
i like this campaign.

fifthbullet's picture 188 pencils

agreed... why pick on language when we r here for the mind.
use consumer language is one of the good way to communicate with audience,
who give a damn on a ad that is perfect in the grammar,
while the layman cannot get the "idea" totally...

criticize is way easier than create. use more brain.

msred's picture 499 pencils

i love AotW

justpassingby's picture 1372 pencils

we all want to see slims ads.
go on mate, get your ads out for the boys and girls.

slim's picture 1047 pencils

I'll be submitting some shortly. And you?

justpassingby's picture 1372 pencils

im not a creative but im ready to judge, i might even be your target audience.

fifthbullet's picture 188 pencils

hehe... just make sure u don't act like a typical know-it-all client ok. :P

criticize is way easier than create. use more brain.

slim's picture 1047 pencils

lemme get this right:

You want to see my work b/c you believe that those who judge must also be able to do.

You admit that you can't do yourself, but you're quite happy to judge.

?????

justpassingby's picture 1372 pencils

aim of advertising is to sell to the public not to win awards.

im the public, show me what you got. No need to be defensive, we might love what you show us

slim's picture 1047 pencils

I'm just curious why you're so keen to see my work in particular.

justpassingby's picture 1372 pencils

read the thread.

slim's picture 1047 pencils

I want to hear you say it.

justpassingby's picture 1372 pencils

you sound like my bloody girlfriend

jolie's picture 30 pencils

I think it would be really nice if people kept their personal differences and egos aside and comment on the work. And yes people can have different opinions as long as they have a strong reasoning behind it. This is a forum where people should engage in healthy discussion of work and not personal bickering. And could anyone please tell me where have they seen something like this before.
Anyways, I think this campaign is really awesome and very well brings out the importance of protecting forests to protect wildlife. Ofcourse all of us have seen a lot of campaigns addressing this issue but this execution is really fresh. Great goin.........

ravikanth's picture

the execution is simply superb but the texture appears to me like that of a girrafe.
