Love it! Fresh thinking/art direction from the Russians. Even if they are trying to re-start the cold war.
they do? (: Good idea anyway
re start the cold war? i would say its warming up after glasnost and peristroika mate.
not sure what you've been reading. yesterday putin actually said, after being asked about the cold war, "we are, of course, returning to those times." and he's trying to extend the presidency from 4 years to 7. a new, delicious soviet autocrat. mmmm, mmmm.
Brave man.
Funny how history repeats.
Look out black market, here come the Boom Sticks.
Doin' it for the points
Maybe the cold war is against global warming... :s or not!
Whats that about the cold war? Did I miss something?
Also, I have to differ with you on the art direction, I feel they have sacrificed clarity of concept for style.

why 1984? founding year? it doesn't work logically for me. what about the year before '84? the density of leopards should be even more packed.
I don't think leopards were founded in 1984, no. Kidding.
I think it's just trying to illustrate the decline of leopards over the past 23 years. Perhaps 1984 was when they started dying off more drastically.
Over complicating a straight forward message with unnecessary visual device.

Nicely thought.
cheers guys : )
This is really good. Even though I have to agree that 1984 does bother me a bit. How about just saying 'Long ago'?

"Long ago" has no meaning and the ad would have lost impact. 1984
I agree, but 1984 isn't much better, it has no context, I can only relate it to a book, what (if any) is the relevance of 1984?

If I've read the Bible correctly, and I believe that I have, then 1984 is when the world was invented.

Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not.

AWESOME!! Finally something worth cheering for after a long time.
It's OK. You get the message, but it's more pretty than impactful. At least it's eye catching, which will get people to read it. But is it strong enough to get them to act...?
Two SOLID thumbs up. Simple and easily understood. Putin is KGB after all guys, what did you expect?
