I still don't understand how this campaign won anything. Am I missing something? It just seems like a fashion-y photo technique, with people acting like sexy animals. What does animals have to do with anything? What does this have to do with jeans? Is this a European thing?

"I love some things, and don't love some other things."
I for one love this campaign. It reminds me at core we are all primates, mammals, vertebrates. This fact defines us at a very basic level. Not sure where this is going, but it's a compelling thought.
Don't get me wrong. I don't hate it. In fact, for fashion advertising, it's not bad. I agree w/ others that the models are well-handled, the lighting's good, and overall it's refreshing; especially for run-of-the-mill jeans. But it just seems like there's a bigger idea here that they're leaning towards…. which ends up not making much sense. To be precise, I really don't get the connection between "wrangler" and "animals".
Is it "bad"? No. …but I'm really struggling with the consensus that this is "brilliant".

I agree too.
"Wrangler - the official jean of people that run around shirtless and drink from muddy streams."
I'd like to shoot a muddy stream all over this campaign.
Sirvan - your post and tagline are ironic ;-D
Lol… my sig is actually an inside joke with someone else who posts here. Probably time to change it, though ;)

Didn't ADs & photographer touch up that picture?
This brand often use "animal man" in their ad and win. Maybe this kind of thing being a signature of this brand. their fans for it.
No Wonder Levi's beats the hell out of Wrangler.
When you wear jeans you can be rough like an animals, thats the whole idea for sure, simple!

We might be animals, but this is a BAD ad ..
I'm here doing this, but feel I should be there doing that. But to do that, I have to be doing this. Does this make sense or do I have to explain that?
i actually agree in the fact that there's no connection with the brand and the concept, for me wearing jeans is something more urban rather than wild or whatever connection there could be with that concept.
