For guys like Jack agency decided to put the photograph of the "guy" himself in the back. And still, not enough...
For the target audience, this is bang on. For someone who doesn't understand the context, it looks stupid. Guys, try and place ads in the right context before you vote/judge them. If you were someone the newspaper was targeting, you'd know who this is right away.
il nerko, no, I don't, it's called humor. Using one Marx to make a comment about another and ultimately convey how lame the ad is.

Jack, I feel bad for you. I'm not being sarcastic. I think all the criticism you get sometimes is too mean and there should be a line where you disagree with someone without showing disrespect. The problem is your portfolio represents very well who you are, a young kid with not a lot of work experience, when you talk like you if were an expert. I think this is throwing people off. Maybe you've already figured this out and you don't care, anyways.
I would like to see a full campaign with this idea... :)
